Reviews: Fiskars 7853 X17 23-1/2-Inch Splitting Axe
My friend had the 14" version of this axe and we used it for cutting wood on our hiking trips (10 25 miles). We needed an second axe so I decided to purchase the 23" version despite the weight difference. The difference in power and efficiency with every swing is like night and day. I would definitely carry the extra 2 pounds this adds for how much work is saved with every swing. Although it might not be a good purchase if you plan on hiking 100s of miles. At any rate it was a Great purchase! Very happy with this axe.
