The best splitting axe money can buy, hands down. My maul axe is still needed for pieces that are over 18" in diameter. Splits everything under that size with one swing (even hickory and oak). Don't let the small size and weight fool you. I am a 40 year old 185 lb. man and can swing this axe all day long. ( Did I foreget to mention that I am also waiting for a total hip replacement.) The best tip that I can offer someone is to split your wood when it is green or you will have a harder time splitting it. A benefit to doing so is that your wood will season much faster as well.
